ApplePickr is an independent gadget review site. We take your privacy seriously — even though we don't ask you for any personal info. Here's exactly what data we collect (spoiler: almost nothing), how Amazon affiliate links work, and your rights under global privacy laws.

🔍 TL;DR

We don't collect, store, or sell your personal data. No accounts, no comments, no tracking pixels. Amazon affiliate links set cookies managed entirely by Amazon — we don't control or access them. Period.

1. Information We Collect

None directly. ApplePickr doesn't have user accounts, comment sections, newsletter signups that store data, or any form input that sends us personal information. We literally cannot collect what we don't ask for.

Automatically Collected (via Cloudflare)

Cloudflare, our CDN and security provider, may collect anonymized traffic data — things like general geographic region (country level), browser type, and which pages you visit. This is used for security (blocking bots/DDoS) and performance optimization. Cloudflare acts as a data processor under their privacy policy.

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook pixels, or any other tracking service. No retargeting. No ad networks besides Amazon Associates (see below).

2. Cookies

ApplePickr itself does not set any cookies, tracking or otherwise. We don't have login sessions, shopping carts, or any functionality that requires local storage for our own purposes.

Third-Party Cookies: Amazon Associates

When you click an Amazon affiliate link on our site, Amazon may place a cookie on your browser. This cookie is managed entirely by Amazon's systems — we cannot read, modify, or delete it. It allows Amazon to credit us with the referral if you make a purchase within the cookie window (typically 24 hours).

You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings at any time:

3. Amazon Associates Disclosure

ApplePickr is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.

What this means in plain English:

As required by the FTC and Amazon's Operating Agreement, affiliate disclosures appear on every page and review that contains affiliate links.

4. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA & More)

GDPR (European Union)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:

Since we don't collect personal data, these rights are largely automatic — but if you have concerns, contact us and we'll address them within 30 days.

CCPA (California)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, California residents have the right to:

Other Jurisdictions

We comply with applicable privacy laws wherever our readers are located. If your region requires specific disclosures, please contact us and we'll review compliance.

5. Third-Party Links

Our site contains links to third-party websites, primarily Amazon.com. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

6. Children's Privacy

ApplePickr is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect any data from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately and we'll delete it.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy periodically. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page occasionally.
